Development Office
The Development Office is responsible for fundraising and donor relations for the College of Pharmacy.
Development Director Elaine Vincent grew up in Pullman where her father was the manager of Ferdinand's at WSU. After high school, Elaine got her bachelor's degree from WSU, got married and moved to Princeton, N.J., where she raised two children and spent 12 years working for a Merck & Co. research farm.
In 1995, she returned to Pullman with her two children to care for her parents. She worked for 10 years at the College of Pharmacy in alumni relations and fundraising, then spent three years as the associate director of development for the WSU College of Sciences before returning to the College of Pharmacy on Jan. 1, 2009.
Development Coordinator Joanna M. Dreger was born in Poland and moved to the United States in 1993. After living in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, for 5 years, Joanna transferred to WSU in 1998. She worked 5 years for the WSU Center for Entrepreneurial Studies as an Information and Public Relations Coordinator. She was also a research assistant while working on her MBA, which she received in December 2004. Joanna joined the Development Office in the College of Pharmacy in December 2005. She lives in Pullman with her husband, Zbigniew, a senior scientist for the WSU Institute of Shock Physics, and their son, Patrick.
Communications Office
The communications office is responsible for public relations, news and information for the College of Pharmacy.
Communications Coordinator Lorraine Nelson is a native of Scottsbluff, Neb., who moved to the Northwest in 1976 to attend college at the University of Oregon in Eugene. She completed her bachelor's degree years later at Washington State University while in the middle of a career in daily newspaper journalism. Lorraine has been the communications coordinator at the College of Pharmacy since September 1998. She also works part-time as the Internship Coordinator at the WSU Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. Lorraine and her husband, Gene Labberton, live in Asotin, Wash.
