Development Director Elaine O. Vincent grew up in Pullman where her father was the manager of Ferdinand's at WSU. She graduated from WSU, married, and moved to Princeton, N.J., where she raised two children and worked at a Merck & Co. research farm. In 1995, she returned to Pullman with her two children to care for her parents. She has been working in alumni relations and fundraising for WSU since 1996, and has been the director of fundraising for the College of Pharmacy since Jan. 1, 2009. Development Coordinator

Kelly Sylvester joined the College in January 2012 as the Development Coordinator. She has 20 years of experience in development and communications and prior to joining WSU, she worked for two years as the Special Events Coordinator for Olive Crest, a charity that provides foster care and counseling for abused children in Spokane. She also continues to serve as a local coordinator for Forte International, where she oversees 11 high school exchange students from Brazil, Germany, China, and Italy.  

Kelly moved to Eastern Washington with her family in 2006.  She is a native of Orange County, California, where she graduated from Chapman University with a degree in English.  Kelly is married to Scott Sylvester, a WSU alumnus (1986) and they have two children. Kelly serves on the Balboa South Indian Trail Neighborhood Council, the Olive Crest Auxiliary, and the Indian Trail PTA. 



 

Communications & Information:

The Communications Director is responsible for public relations, news and information, and marketing.

Lorraine A. Nelson has more than 20 years experience as a daily newspaper journalist and was the recipient of many 1st place Northwest regional reporting awards in a number of fields, including health, investigative, science and environmental, consumer, business and social issues. She is a native of Scottsbluff, Neb., and moved to the Northwest in 1976 to pursue a bachelor's degree, which she completed at the University of Oregon and Washington State University.
