WSU College of Pharmacy is seeking a full-time, annual, non-tenure track, 12 month appointment Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor position. This position is based in Yakima, Washington at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. The position will involve developing and implementing a clinical rotation site for supervision of pharmacy students. Responsibilities will also include participation in team-taught practice-related courses. Appointment is a one year renewable appointment beginning no later than July 1, 2013. Individuals with a strong commitment to an academic career and an interest in teaching innovative practice models are encouraged to apply. The faculty candidate is expected to develop an active practice and contribute scholarly works in their area of clinical expertise.

This position provides support for clinical research studies in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and the College of Pharmacy. The successful candidate will be working with the clinical trials team on multiple research studies involving human subjects. Under general supervision, will perform varied support functions requiring knowledge and skills specific to the research study in the areas of patient care, office support, data entry, and public relations.

The Program in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology (NEP), College of Pharmacy, Washington State University (WSU), invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (commensurate with experience). NEP offers undergraduate and graduate degrees that incorporate nutrition, dietetics, and exercise physiology, preparing students for both professional certification and research careers.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active, extramurally-funded clinical or basic science research program that applies genomic, epigenetic, or metabolomic approaches to nutrition or exercise physiology. Additional responsibilities include mentoring of graduate students and fellows, and instructional responsibilities in the professional and graduate curricula.

The Dept of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Trobridge Lab has an NIH supported post-doctoral position immediately available to develop novel foamy virus vectors for gene therapy. The Trobridge laboratory is developing novel approaches to improve the safety and efficacy of hematopoietic stem cell gene therapy using foamy virus vectors. Molecular biology and genomic/bioinformatic approaches are currently being used to better understand the potential for vector-mediated genotoxicity, and to improve the safety of vectors used for gene therapy. The candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to additional projects in the laboratory, including research to identify novel genes involved in cancer progression.

Pharmaceutical Sciences laboratory position needed that studies hematopoietic stem cell biology and is developing stem cell gene therapies is recruiting a research technician to assist with hematopoietic cell culture, development of novel gene transfer vectors, and stem cell gene transfer experiments. The position may involve additional responsibilities. This position affords the motivated technician an opportunity to develop/utilize both tissue culture and molecular biology skills.
