Dr. Connie Remsberg’s research interests include faculty development in teaching and learning and implementation of new teaching methods. Additionally, Remsberg’s research efforts include understanding drug-drug interactions involving drug transporters.
Remsberg graduated from WSU with a Pharm.D. in 2010 and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2011. Under the guidance of Dr. Neal Davies, Remsberg’s Ph.D. work focused on the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and formulation development of hydrophobic compounds including naturally occurring polyphenols.
Following her Ph.D., Remsberg completed a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical pharmacology at University of California, San Francisco where she was mentored by Dr. Leslie Benet. While at UCSF, she studied how membrane drug transporters can be involved in drug-drug interactions that alter drug disposition. Her research identified a racially dependent, clinical drug-drug interaction between rosuvastatin and clopidogrel.
