As a new student in the College of Pharmacy there are several things you can do before orientation to make your first week easier. Please take a few minutes to complete the following tasks.
Step 1: Setup your WSU network ID
As a new student one of the first steps is ensuring that you have a WSU Network ID. If you already have a WSU Network ID please continue on to Step 2 - Create your wsu email account.
What is required to create my ID?
To create your Network ID you will need your WSU Student number and your TANK ID.
Select a professional Network ID/email
When selecting a Network ID please select a name that represents you in a professional manner. When you create an email account your email will match your Network ID.
WSU requires that students, staff and faculty use complex passwords when creating their account or changing their account password. You will be required to change your password every 180 days.
Follow the instructions you received via email for creating your Network ID using your TANK id. Create my WSU Network ID
Step 2: Setup your email account
Now that you have your WSU Network ID, you need to make sure you accept admission through the my.wsu.edu portal and pay your admission deposit.
What if I already have an email account @ WSU?
Some students may already have an email account at WSU. If you have an @wsu.edu account then skip to Step 3 - Configuring Wireless Access.
Email accounts are automatically setup approximately 48hrs after you accept addmission in the My.wsu.edu portal and pay your admission deposit.
To access your WSU Email
- Visit My.wsu.edu
- Select the Email 365 link and login with your WSU Network ID and password.
Configuring Email Clients
Directions on configuring office 365 for your email client can be found here.
Step 3: Configure wireless access
Students using the wireless network at WSU Spokane will need to connect to the "WSU Spokane" wireless network. When prompted for credentials please enter your WSU Network ID and password.
Students using the wireless network at PNWU will be given instructions during orientation.
