Professional mentoring network. A network of 350 well-trained and enthusiastic pharmacists in the Northwest willing to take in, teach and evaluate our students during six-week clerkships. A similar network for dieticians is being established.
Geriatric pharmacy practice and research. Certified Geriatric Pharmacists are part of a dedicated team of faculty providing direct patient care for an elderly population in Spokane and conducting research in the field.
Drug Information Center (DIC). Health care professionals from across Washington state call our DIC for prescription drug information. The center’s director, Dr. Danial Baker, is a respected author of new drug reviews for Facts & Comparisons.
Pharmaceutical and biomedical research. Forty-five manuscripts published in scientific journals and 34 research presentations made at national and international scientific conferences in 2007. Research expenditures of $2,690,867 in FY2007.
