Patient-centered learning and community care. Our student pharmacists provide more than 250 hours of health care each to people in Pullman and Spokane during their hands-on training. Students in nutrition and exercise physiology provide similar community outreach.

Professional mentoring network. A network of 350 well-trained and enthusiastic pharmacists in the Northwest willing to take in, teach and evaluate our students during six-week clerkships.   A similar network for dieticians is being established.

Geriatric pharmacy practice and research.  We have a dedicated and energetic team of certified Geriatric Pharmacists providing direct patient care for an elderly population in Spokane and conducting research in the field.

Drug Information Center (DIC). Health care professionals from across Washington state call our DIC for prescription drug information. The center’s director, Dr. Danial E. Baker, is a respected author of new drug reviews for Facts & Comparisons.

Faculty practitioners educate colleagues and care for patients. A number of faculty are practicing professionals and are involved in educating other health care professionals about their field while caring directly for patients.
