Ph.D. NEP
The Ph.D. NEP -- with its dual emphasis on nutrition and exercise -- is unique among doctorate programs in the Northwest. Students in the program may pursue research interests in either nutrition or exercise or both, and they can do so from a molecular/cellular, clinical and/or behavioral approach.
Located on a small but growing health sciences campus, students in the program will have opportunities to learn from faculty in other disciplines, such as medicine, pharmacy and nursing, as well as collaborate in activities with students in other health sciences discplines.

M.S. in NEP
The MS NEP is a research-based program that offers a unique perspective on how and why the human body functions and reacts in certain ways to various exercise and nutritional stimuli. There are thesis and non-thesis options.
The thesis option emphasizes research in: 1) behavioral nutrition and 2) cellular/molecular mechanisms regulating physiological responses to exercise and nutrition.
The non thesis option focuses on clinical nutrition and exercise physiology. The graduate curriculum provides a foundation in the study of the cellular mechanisms that regulate physiological responses and the molecular mechanisms that govern these cellular responses.
