CP On Hand Installation
Gold Standard has changed how access to CP On Hand is provided. You will no longer be issued a promotion card for access. Instead access to CP OnHand requires you to be connected to the WSU Network either on site or via the PPTP VPN.
Step 1: Remove Previous versions of CP On Hand
1. Uninstall CP On Hand on your computer and on your PDA
2. Restart your computer and verify that your PDA is syncing with your computer.
Step 2: Off Campus Users
1. If you are not located on the Pullman or Spokane campus you will need to complete this section.
2. Configure a PPTP VPN connection to the WSU Network.
**Do Not use the Cisco VPN
3. Launch the VPN connection and make sure you are logged in.
4. You will need to use the VPN connection anytime that you install or update CP OnHand.
Step 3. Download CP On Hand
1. Make sure that you have the VPN Connection enabled if off campus. On campus verify you are connected to the WSU Wireless network.
2. From the Pharmacy website select "Current Students" - "PharmD" - "Clinical Pharmacology"
3. Login with ad\wsu_network_id and password. "ad\" is required
4. You will now be redirected to Clinical Pharmacology.
5. Select the "Downloads" option.
6. Next select the "Clinical Pharmacology OnHand" link.
7. Select the version of CP On Hand that matches your PDA and download to your computer.
Step 4. Install CP On Hand
1. Make sure that your PDA will sync with your desktop before installing CP On Hand.
2. Make sure you still have the WSU VPN connection running or are connected to the WSU Wireless network.
3. Run the install program that you downloaded to your computer.
4. CP On Hand will install to your desktop computer and then to your PDA. ** Some PDAs do not have sufficient memory to store the software and will require an external storage card.
5. Once the installation is complete verify that CP On Hand runs on your PDA.
Step 5. Getting Updates for CP On Hand
1. Make sure your PDA is syncing with your desktop computer.
2. Launch the WSU VPN PPTP Client and connect to the network for off campus connections. Connect to the WSU Wireless network for on campus.
3. From your desktop run the CP On Hand Sync software under Programs.
4. The application will then download and install the necessary updates to your PDA.
