Student Printing Policy

Location: Wegner Hall G53 & 250, Riverpoint HSB 212A

Overview of Printing Policy

Starting August 21st, 2006, the College of Pharmacy will begin charging students for each page printed in the Wegner and Riverpoint HSB student labs.  The current rate per single sided page will be 5 cents. Double sided printing will be charged at 10 cents per page.

To help offset these charges the College of Pharmacy will issue each student a 500 page credit (means first 500 pages free) at the start of each semester.  Credits from previous semesters will not be carried over. Please note that this 500 page credit is a continuation of the previous printing policy. The new aspect of this policy is a mechanism to charge for those exceeding this allowance.

The Billing Process

Each night the number of pages a student has printed to the lab printers will be calculated.  The total number of pages printed for the day will then be charge at 5 cents per single sided page.  If the student has any of the original 500 page credit available the system will automatically deduct from the student’s available credits.   Once all available credits have been used the system will then bill the student’s university account for the remaining balance.  Students pay the university for all printing charges just as they would for any other university charges.

Print Usage Reports

Every other week you will receive an email notice that outlines the amount of pages you have printed since the start of the semester. Please take a moment to review your current balance information.

The Refund Process

In the rare case that a student prints a document and for reasons beyond the student’s control the print out is illegible (out of toner / paper jams) the student may request a refund.  In order to obtain a refund students are required to bring the Complete Unsuitable Print Out to Wegner 249 (see Joyce Harbison or Terri Rothwell for Riverpoint HSB 212A issues).  If no one is available, a drop box along with a refund request sheet will be provided outside of Wegner 249.  Please fill out the refund request form and attach it to the unsuitable print out for which you are requesting a refund.  Incomplete or illegible forms may result in a delay in processing refunds.
