Student Nutrition Awareness Club (SNAC):

snacThe Student Nutrition Awareness Club (SNAC) provides the opportunity for students to expand their awareness of community needs. Involvement develops relationships between students, faculty, and members of the community. Activities which SNAC members are involved in include the collection of food for the Food Bank to reduce hunger in our community, volunteer time at the Pullman Food Bank and Meals on Wheels, and departmental picnics and social events. Funds raised are donated to the Food Bank. As a member of SNAC, students gain a sense of accomplishment through involvement with the community.

The club consists of students from diverse majors interested in food, nutrition, and the Pullman community. They also form invaluable networks and close personal bonds through SNAC social and professional events.

Activities include collecting food for the food bank, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, organizing a bake sale, and selling t-shirts.  Members attend dietetic meetings and the annual Washington State Dietetics Association meeting.
